A comprehensive guide to local organic and sustainably grown food, services and products in Massachusetts and beyond. A project of NOFA/Mass.
Colchester Neighborhood Farm (CNF) is a Baystate Certified Organic Farm, and also a National Bicentennial Farm. This designation means that Colchester Neighborhood Farm has been owned by the same family for the past 200 years. However, what makes CNF different and distinguished from other local CSA is that in January 2012, New England Village signed a lease to assume operation of Colchester Neighborhood Farm. New England Village programs serve adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, including autism, Down Syndrome, and sensory disabilities. Participants in New England Village day programs work for Colchester Neighborhood Farm. These men and women help to grow the vegetables we sell, receive a paycheck, and learn farming skills.
We offer a tradition summer CSA share (full & half), a fall greens and roots share, and a 20 week egg share. We also have a retail farm stand, some pick your own veggies & flowers, and lots of wonderful farm animals for families to visit. This season we will work to increase our wholesale business as well.
