A comprehensive guide to local organic and sustainably grown food, services and products in Massachusetts and beyond. A project of NOFA/Mass.
The Food Project’s mission is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. Our community produces healthy food for residents of the city and suburbs, provides youth leadership opportunities, and inspires and supports others to create change in their own communities.
We work with high schoolers to grow mixed vegetables using organic methods and distribute them through a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm shares and donate to local hunger-relief organizations. We strive to implement progressively sustainable practices and value community-integrated farming.
We grow on land in Boston, Lincoln, Lynn, and Wenham. Each of these sites distributes through a CSA and/or farmers' market.
